Green Bean Casserole

3 cans whole green beans -- drain well
1 roll garlic cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup, or cream of celery
l can Durkee fried onion rings


Place well-drained beans in casserole. Melt cheese with soup, mix with beans, and top with onion rings. Bake at 375 until bubbling and browned.

*This recipe is so simple, yet is it always the one most requested when I volunteer to 'bring a dish'. I think the addition of the garlic cheese is what sets it apart from the regular greenbean casserole recipe.

I thank my former mother-in-law, Mae Hope, for this recipe, so long ago. She is a true Steel Magnolia . . . combining strength and gentleness perfectly.
